“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom…”
Colossians 3:16
Reading the Bible Together
Introducing Reading the Bible Together
Why Read the Bible Together?
As Christians we have the greatest privilege of knowing God as our Heavenly Father. Our relationship with God is guaranteed through all Jesus has done for us but, like any relationship, our experience of it will vary. Enjoying God depends on knowing him, spending time with him, and growing to love him.
There is no better way to grow in our relationship with God than regularly spending time with him in prayer and hearing from him in his word. But many of us find it difficult to maintain this habit, so we are encouraging the whole church to join in Reading the Bible Together this term.
Reading the Bible Together means we can share our joys with others. We can ask for help with things that confuse us. By reading the same Bible passage each day, we can encourage each other to keep going. We can discuss what we have been reading. We can find help for the bits that seem more complicated.
